I think, for me, this would have made a bigger impact had it been taken from a vertical perspective.
And I think I would have been tempted to make the blacks a little blacker, for lack of a better way of putting it!
I wouldn't lighten the highlights though - you've got great detail in there which I wouldn't want to see lost!
Yes the perspective is not the best - the thing is all around were some distracting details. This was the best angle I could get
